Evaluate
I can officially say that I have concluded this MYP project. I'm
really proud of myself as I have worked hard and I met all the due dates. I met
all the requirements for this project thus I think (hope) I'm going to receive
a good grade! I have created a website on my country of
origin for the community to educate themselves on Palestine. In the website I
included sufficient information including the history, geography and the
climate on Palestine. I added images and also moving images (gifs) and text from
omgtextwow.com ( thinking outside the box). I made my website creative, easy to
navigate through and really simple so the viewer can really understand and
read and learn more. Of course I encountered some difficulties along the way such as finding
the right information or finding the right images however I overcame them as I
worked really hard through it. If you see my designs now, you will see my
website looks different and that’s because I’ve added several things to enhance
the viewer’s knowledge and to make it easier for him/her to understand. I made
my website more amusing comparing to my designs by adding images, changing the
font into a more exiting one and blending in the font color with the
background! Next time though, I would make my website much more intriguing and
interesting by adding more pages so I can talk about conflict and fun activities to do with your friends or family. Overall I
wouldn’t change much because in my opinion, my website is really interesting,
creative and detailed with information!

Design task
We
were given a task to create at least 1 design of 6 pages
for our dreamweaver MYP Project 2014. I’ve created 3 designs of 6 pages. I have created 3 and I like all of them! Every design
of mine is well-detailed, creative, colorful and original to enhance the
viewer’s learning thus allowing him/her to explore in depth my website. My website
contains plenty of information and fun factsabout my country Palestine and so is the history, geography, culture,
etymology, climate and environment. My 1st design is calm and
spacious and has room for movement. The colors and fonts are bold with clear
pages however it lacks information and images. The 2nd design, contains good information and
it’s generally clear with fun activities the viewer can do. The 3rd design
however, is my favorite. I’m happiest with Design #3 as it the clearest
compared to the other 2 designs. I like the font used in design #3 as it’s
unique. The design of the pages in design #3 is basically everything that
a tourist would ask for. It is clear colorful, easy to use/navigate in and
understand and it stands out with its color mixtures and creativity.
Investigate task
Investigate task
The Problem: I have chosen to make a website on my
country of origin Palestine. I have chosen it as many people around the world
don’t know what or even where Palestine is. They haven’t heard about it and if
they have then they heard about the war and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
What the people don’t know is that Palestine is so much more than that. By
making this website, I would like to educate people about Palestine. Palestine
is very rich in its unique culture and history. It is considered the holy
land by three major religions. Judiasm,
Islam and Christianity. By creating this website, I would like to make
Palestine more famous and allow people to have proper knowledge of this beautiful
ancient country that dates back to 10,000 BC! I will make about 6 pages in the
website. The homepage, the history page, the geography page, the culture page,
the facts page and the contact us page to enhance the reader’s knowledge on
Palestine.
Solutions and the chosen one: I’ve come across many solutions to the problem. I could advertise my
country by handing out pamphlets in public, or by creating a poster and stick
it in a popular place or even making a legitimate advertisement on TV and or
just make a website for everyone to see
on the internet. In the end, I have
chosen to make a website as its one of the most simple and long lasting source
of information for the public. Handing out pamphlets won’t really have an
impact as people can just throw it in the bin and not even take a glance at it.
Make a poster is a good idea but it isn’t really as effective as making a
website. And making an advertisement on TV is very costly, it won’t be shown
forever and again it isn’t really as effective. I believe making a website
would really be a hit and anyone across the world can see it.

Areas of interaction:
The website I will be using will cover two areas of
interaction. By creating this website, I’ll cause awareness, concern, and educate
people on my country and this is a part of the Community Service. And the website is concerning the
intellectual , attitudes, strategies, and skills that will result in critical,
coherent, and independent thought. I will produce high quality work and this
covers the Approaches to learning
